Phonics covers about 75% of the spelling of words, but the remaining 25% needs to be recognized and memorized.

The 220 Dolch Words (also known as sight words) are important words that are frequently used and account for about 50-70% of English texts. Your child will learn these Dolch Sight Words step by step.

We teach children to confidently express their thoughts by having them bring their favorite things from home and introducing to their teachers and fellow classmates.

This allows them to express their thoughts based on a theme, to listen to others, and to ask and answer questions.

We start with upper and lowercase letters of the alphabet and proceed to practice reading and writing along with phonics. 

Once your child can write words, they will gradually move up to simple sentences. Reading practice begins by understanding the content of the story read by the teacher.

Your child will learn how numbers are related to length, weight, shape comparison, time, and the various ways of counting.

We learn about the human body, living things on Earth, plants, weather, seasons, changes in matter, and more through various activities and experiments.

We look around us and think about the environment around us, such as rules and safety in daily life, family and local community, occupations, and environmental issues.

Our pupils are encouraged to move their bodies and become familiar with music.

Your child will use musical instruments and experience the different sounds they make and how they are played.

We do handicrafts, painting, and make toys that incorporate the seasons and other topical themes.

Your child will cooperate with others to make cookies, pizza, pancakes, ice cream, lemonade, and more.

What is Montessori education?

We use toys such as blocks with unique shapes that are designed to draw out children's interests and questions. By repeatedly working on something until they are satisfied, a child develops spontaneity and concentration skills.

We go outside for certain lessons when the weather cooperates. We exercise in the park, go for walks, and interact with nature to cultivate knowledge and stimulate the five senses.

The classroom has a play room with mats and play equipment, so children can exercise to their heart's content even when the weather is bad. Through playing, children get their bodies moving and develop muscle strength and coordination.

In addition to English, we also provide Japanese language lessons with Japanese assistants. 

Japanese children will develop the  language skills they need before entering elementary school. Expat children will come away with new language skills and a keen awareness of Japanese culture.
